Lori Zukin, Ph.D.

Sometimes it’s an inspiring story, and sometimes it’s data—there’s always something to catalyze a mindset shift, and a leap toward your goals. Lori notices what’s needed based on each client’s unique needs and works with them to facilitate the shift. As an executive and team coach, facilitator, consultant, and trusted advisor, Lori helps clients put in place a plan to meet their goals and satisfy the business needs. Heart and strategy. It’s a “both/and.” You need not choose one or the other.

From C-suite executives to frontline leaders, Lori works with leaders at all levels. She supports clients across a range of sectors from technology to healthcare and sports, to finance and consulting. As CEO and Founder of Zukin Leadership, Lori consults with individuals and teams to improve engagement, to help teams align and drive toward action, to boost team effectiveness, and to design and facilitate leadership development programs.

Lori has been where you are, leading a large team, delivering to clients, building the business, and developing others. Prior to founding Zukin Leadership, she was an executive at Booz Allen Hamilton where she led a team of 90 human capital consultants. In addition to her consulting and coaching work, Lori teaches coaches-in-training at Georgetown University and at Corentus, Inc.

Lori lives in northern Virginia, with her husband who is an attorney and, she believes, one of the smartest people she’s met! Proud parents of two boys who love sports, math, and politics, they are known to have—and enjoy—healthy disagreements around the dinner table. She is committed to ending the stigma associated mental illness and regularly volunteers for the National Alliance for Mental Illness and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. When not at her desk, she’s most likely hiking or running out in nature—and listening to a thought-provoking or inspirational podcast or book.

Credential-wise – Lori has a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from George Mason University and an M.A. in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. She attended the Georgetown University Leadership Coaching Program, where she now is on faculty, and has a Professional Certification from the International Coach Federation. Lori is also certified in multiple assessments, including The Organization Workshop, the suite of Hogan Assessments, the Leadership Circle Profile, and the Center for Creative Leadership 360.
