Ligia Olvera

An international speaker, Ligia works with leaders and teams across the globe, and especially in Latin-America to develop resilience and self-awareness to lead from within. She has dedicated most of her professional life to achieve significant personal and organizational transformation through leadership coaching, consulting, and training. She has blogged weekly for ten years in a Costa Rican newspaper.

She integrates her knowledge and experience in economics and business strategy, with the human aspects of leadership in areas such as positive psychology, neuroscience, executive coaching, and stress management.

She has been a visiting professor for the executive education programs at INCAE Business School focusing on leadership development. Some of the seminars she teaches are: “Leading from Within” and “Leading across Generations”. INCAE has been recognized as the Best Business School in Latin America and was founded by Harvard Business School more than forty years ago.

Ligia is a dual citizen of Mexico and Costa Rica and is fluent in Spanish and English. She is a lifelong learner who loves to travel around the world and combine her work with being a mom of two amazing human beings.

She published the book Dream Catcher Wings to empower women, girls and their families who live in situations of abuse.

Education and Training

Ligia earned her leadership and team coaching certifications from Georgetown University and Corentus, has a Professional Certification from the International Coach Federation.

She completed her MBA from INCAE Business School in Costa Rica and her undergraduate studies in Economics Summa Cum Laude from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City. She is certified to administer numerous assessments including Leadership Circle 360, Emotional and Social Competency Inventory, and more.
