Lori Zukin, PH.D.

If you have the courage to be your true, authentic self – you can do amazing things.  It’s the mantra  Lori lives by and it’s the journey she helps all of her clients take.

Lori had it – a great career working at a great place - an Executive with the consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton.  She had an amazing team and inspiring leaders AND she knew she had more to give. She knew there was an inner “Lori” that needed to emerge. 

Fueled by her passionate belief that you can maximize both love and the bottom line to be successful, she left Booz Allen after 18 years to follow her professional dream.  She created Zukin Leadership – a place where she could blend her unique style of coaching, facilitating, consulting and strategy work.  It’s a blend that is resonating with clients including the NFL, The Board of Trustees of Penn State University,  Slalom Consulting, Baker Tilly,  and the Presidential Leadership Scholars

Lori’s approach to her clients is formed by that time in the trenches at Booz and from her training and practice as an executive and team coach.  While at Booz, she worked with executives from companies large and small, and led the company’s leadership development efforts – including overseeing the coaching services Booz was providing its clients. She managed a team of 90 Human Capital Experts and knows first-hand the challenges of leading in a complex, multi-layered environment.  She has been where you are.

Lori’s passion for life extends well beyond the office.   She is married with two sons who love math and sports and the overlap between the two. She likes to run and hike – and especially loves the high-energy efficiency of Tabata.  Lori also knows that truly taking care of yourself means taking care of others.  She is dedicated to ending the stigma associated with mental illness and volunteers regularly for the National Alliance for Mental Illness and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Credential-wise - Lori holds a Doctorate in Industrial/ Organizational psychology from George Mason University and a Masters in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University.  She received her Coaching Certification from Georgetown, and has a Professional Certification from the International Coach Federation.  She is on the faculty at Georgetown’s Institute for Transformational Leadership and Corentus, Inc’s Team Coaching Certificate Program.

Lori is also certified in multiple leadership and team assessments including The Organization Workshop, the Hogan, the Leadership Circle Profile and the Center for Creative Leadership 360.
